Spring of Christian Life: Understanding the Faith Journey of Younger Adults
Coming to Adult Forum on _____________
Our church, as an intergenerational Christian community, provides occasions for discussing the challenges and opportunities at the various stages of life, in this case, post-high school adults.
This course, to be taught by ___________, is one of four in the LifeCrossings series The Seasons of Christian Life written by Dick and Judy Reuning. The other three are:
* Summer: Choices, Challenges and Celebrations
* Autumn: Finding Meaning and Joy Amid Change and Loss
* Winter: The Generations Consider Difficult Choices
All of the stories and dramas in Spring: Understanding the Faith Journey of Younger Adults are true stories whose places and characters have been disguised but not exaggerated. The stories, Biblical reflections in "Food for the Journey" and helpful information are skillfully woven together and become the basis for discussion on topics such as: Who Am I Becoming? The Searching Years; Sexuality – God’s Good Gift; Values for a Technological Age; Another day, another dollar – Is that all there is? and Developing Faith amid Questions.
The goals of Spring: Understanding the Faith Journey of Younger Adults are both individual and communal: (1) to help individual Christians of all ages grow in understanding of the unique issues and concerns of adults after high school or college; (2) to foster relationships within your Christian community across generations; (3) to develop attitudes and a list of activities designed to help your community become a place of acceptance, refuge and support for the faith journey of all younger adults.
While the conversation is about one particular time of life, it is appropriate for all ages to learn from the experiences of others. Come and share your perspectives on Christian choices and challenges in early adulthood. Adult Forum meets in the ____________ from _______to______ every Sunday.
